In addition The University of Manchester's halls of residence are ideal for conference organisers wishing to offer delegates a convenient and affordable choice of accommodation, or for budget-conscious groups looking for inexpensive but pleasant accommodation.
Our halls are no further than 15 minutes from the city centre and on a frequent bus route so it is very easy to get to all parts of the campus and around the city. The catered halls of residence are available during the summer vacation. Whitworth Park, a self-catering residence, close to the city centre, is also available during the summer vacation.
Our accommodation stretches from the city centre to 3 miles south of the city so whether you want to be close to the shops and city centre attractions, or prefer to be out of town in a more relaxing location, the University has somewhere for everyone. All accommodation is easily accessible by public transport.

Wright Robinson Hall is situated behind the Barnes Wallis building and just a few minutes walk from all the Sackville Street Campus conference venues. Accommodation is spread across 11 residential floors, each of which has 15 well equipped single study bedrooms, shared bathroom facilities and kitchen/common room.
Wright Robinson Hall offers 155 bedrooms of which 145 are singles and 10 are doubles. A bath and 2 showers are provided on each of the 11 floors for delegates’ convenience together with a kitchen/common room for making refreshments and catching up with colleagues at the end of a busy conference day.
Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the kitchen area on each floor. Breakfast and other meals are served in the Barnes Wallis Restaurant across campus.

George Kenyon Hall is in an excellent position in the centre of the Oxford Road Campus, and only 2 minute’s walk from University Place, making it a convenient choice for conferences.
George Kenyon Hall's 181 bedrooms are located on 8 floors, with great views across the campus and city landscape. They offer comfortable and affordable accommodation in a great location for conferences taking place on the Oxford Road Campus.
Rooms are arranged in self-contained flats in groups of five. All are single rooms with modern en suite facilities. There is a shared kitchen/lounge area in each flat and a common room and launderette located on the ground floor.
Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the kitchen area in each self-contained flat. Guests are catered for in EATS Restaurant - University Place.

We have over 4000 beds available across 4 campuses, stretching from the city centre so that you can be close to all the attractions that Manchester has to offer or the more relaxing locations of our out of town halls of residence and hotel bedrooms. We offer a choice of self-catering, student standard bedrooms, student en-suite bedrooms and hotel rooms.
The self-catering flats at Whitworth Park are designed to accommodate 7, 8 or 9 persons. Accommodation is in single study bedrooms, with shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom in each flat. Guests are provided with bedding and the kitchen is equipped with basic cooking utensils to help you prepare quick and easy snacks. Located just 1 mile from the city centre, adjacent to the main Manchester hospitals and only a short walk from the Oxford Road campus venues, Whitworth Park offers event organisers and visitors to the city cheap and convenient accommodation during the summer months.

We have a number of halls across the campuses that provide delegates and visitors with comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation, rooms are primarily single study bedrooms with washbasin, although we do have a small number of double bedrooms. The number of bedrooms per floor varies depending on which hall of residence you choose but generally there are 12-14 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Guests are provided with bedding, a hand towel and tea/coffee making facilities.
This type of accommodation is available to conferences and groups during the summer vacation.

The University has over 1200 single student en-suite bedrooms, a popular and convenient choice for our conference delegates and visitors to the University. Arranged in flats sleeping up to 10 people, all rooms have en-suite shower, toilet and washbasin and there is a lounge for guests to sit and relax in at the end of a busy day. Locations vary from Lambert Hall in the city centre to Richmond Park in the leafy outskirts of the city, and this accommodation is available during the summer vacation.
