The sheer size of The University of Manchester means we are able to offer large scale venues for a host of events, including national and international conferences as well as language schools and sports tournaments, with a choice of 4000 bedrooms available during the summer vacation.
Facilities include the iconic University Place, positioned at the heart of the Oxford Road campus, now firmly established as a popular choice in Manchester for association type conferences, able to accommodate up to 1000 delegates. The Oxford Road campus also provides a number of other large scale conference venues, including the Roscoe, Schuster and Chemistry buildings - all theatres are fitted with a high level of audio-visual equipment and WiFi access, supported by an experienced technical team.
The Renold Building is another popular venue for national and international conferences with its choice of well equipped lecture theatres for up to 490, 20 classrooms and sizeable exhibition space, conveniently located in city centre Manchester.
Further away in Fallowfield, yet only 3 miles from the city centre, is our largest residential campus which is an ideal location for language schools who benefit from its secure environment and proximity of meeting rooms to accommodation and catering. The ability to offer a range of accommodation, flexible catering arrangements, extensive sports fields and the indoor Armitage sports centre gives a “Village” feel to large scale sports tournaments - the campus was home to thousands of athletes from around the world during the 2002 Commonwealth Games and the World Lacrosse Championships in 2010.
